One after-hours call, end to end
Here's exactly what happens when your phone rings after your office has closed.
The five steps
1. It says what it is
Before any question about why they're calling, DeskWiz tells the caller they're speaking with an automated system and that the call is recorded.
2. It gets the basics
Name, a callback number, the service address, and a description of the problem — the same things your office would need to write down.
3. It sorts emergency from routine
An urgent call and a routine call aren't treated the same way. DeskWiz separates the two.
4. It follows the plan you set
For an emergency, you've already told DeskWiz what to do: reach your on-call tech directly, or take a full message and tell the caller your team will follow up. For anything routine, it books the job or takes a message.
5. You get a summary
After the call, DeskWiz emails you what was said and what happened — waiting for you when you're back at your desk.
What this isn't
After hours, nobody takes over the call from the automated system — there's no live transfer to a person outside of a separate daytime coverage tier, which isn't what's sold on this site. DeskWiz only answers inbound calls; it never places outbound calls to your customers, and it never uses voice biometrics.
